Asia Cup Press Conference: Salman Ali Agha on India as Favourites

Pakistan’s T20 captain Salman Ali Agha kept it simple when asked about India being the favourites for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 in Asia Cup Press Conference. Speaking at the captains’ press conference on Tuesday, he said that in T20 cricket no team can really be called the favourite because the format is too unpredictable.

“The game can change in one or two overs. That is the nature of T20 cricket. Any team that plays better on the day will win,” Salman said when the question about India’s tag as favourites was put forward.

The Pakistan skipper looked confident as they recently won the tri-series title. He and his team are in good rhythm to face India on 14 September. Both teams have young players who play fearless cricket. This time Pakistan vs India will feel different as Kohli and Babar are not in the squad.
