Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha lauded his team’s collective effort in their 14-run triumph over the West Indies in the first match of the three‑game series. The fixture at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium set the tone for a fiercely fought tour opener.
Agha singled out Mohammad Nawaz’s 11th over as the pivotal game-changer: “The 11th over brought us three wickets, and that was the turning point. Once the ball got older, it became difficult to bat against spin—and I was just waiting for that moment.” Nawaz ended the match with 3/23, reshaping the game in Pakistan’s favour.
Reflecting on the playing surface, the captain noted: “It was easier to score against the new ball, but as it aged, it began to grip and turn, making batting much harder for both teams.” This observation underscored Pakistan’s adaptability and tactical planning around pitch behavior
With the series now 1–0 in their favour, Pakistan harnessed depth and tactical awareness to earn the victory. Agha’s remarks reflect confidence in his squad and reinforce a team-first approach as they gear up for the remaining T20I fixtures.
