Salman Ali Agha has praised the allround performance of Pakistan after defeating Namibia by 102 runs. He said the team performed well in all departments, showcasing their ability to respond under tough pressure.
While speaking at the post-match presentation, Salman said that Pakistan started well in the Powerplay and then backed it up by performing well in the middle and final overs.
"We started really well in the powerplay. In the middle, we put good partnerships and then finished well.” said Pakistan T20I captain, Salman Ali Agha.
He then showered praise on Sahibzada Farhan who scored a superlative century in the first innings of the match to give Pakistan a commanding total.
“Sahibzada has been outstanding. The way he's been batting the last six months, I'm very happy for him. In the bowling, we were lethal and ruthless. We bowled in the right areas, whether it was fast bowlers or spinners. I think it was a complete performance from us." added Salman Ali Agha.
When asked about the performance of Usman Tariq in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Salman said that he is a quality bowler who has the ability to win many games for Pakistan.
"It's tough [even] facing him in the nets. I have played him in domestic cricket, and it's very hard. He's tough to pick, and when he pauses, it becomes very difficult.” said Salman Ali Agha.
“But I'm very happy he's playing for us and very happy for him the way he's bowling. I really hope he can bowl in the business end the way he's bowling right now and win us more games." added Salman Ali Agha.
Talking about the upcoming Super Eights clash against New Zealand, Salman said that his team can win that contest as well if they produce a performance similar to the one they showed today.
"I think we have been playing very good cricket, as has New Zealand. So I'm hoping for a good game. If we replicate the way we're playing right now, I think we'll be fine." concluded Salman Ali Agha
