Salman Ali Agha Hails Pakistan’s Dominant Performance Against USA in T20 World Cup 2026

Pakistan T20I captain, Salman Ali Agha, praised the team’s performance after winning the crucial T20 World Cup clash against the USA. He said Pakistan showcased a ‘clinical’ performance in today’s match, in which every member of the team gave their best to secure the victory.

The green shirts dominated the inexperienced USA team from the beginning in today’s contest. After batting strongly and putting up 190 on the board in the first innings, Pakistan showcased their renowned bowling class to defend the target and win the match by 32 runs.  

"Clinical performance, we started well with the bat and batted really well in the middle. When we come to bowling, we have a world-class attack and scoring 190, we know we could defend that," said Salman Ali Agha while speaking at the post-match presentation.

When asked whether he was comfortable defending the target, Salman said that although the team likes chasing, they can also produce a big score in the first inning by batting strongly.

"We are Pakistani, we do it differently. We are comfortable chasing, but we try to bat first and put up above par, then try to defend," said Salman Ali Agha.

Salman then lauded the flexibility of the team’s batting order, saying that everyone can adjust themselves according to the situation of the match.

"We have a flexible order, first three ready to go and then finishers can go early, or if we lose wickets, we have batters who can take the game deeper," said Pakistan T20I captain, Salman Ali Agha.

"Always room for improvement, we'd like to bowl better in the Powerplay, be more clinical. These are the things we want to improve," added Salman Ali Agha
