Pakistan’s top order batter, Sahibzada Farhan, achieved a major milestone in T20I cricket while playing a match against the USA. He became the 10th Pakistan batter to score 1000 runs in T20I cricket, a milestone that defines his rising prowess in the shortest format of the game.
Sahibzada Farhan achieved the milestone in his 40th innings, as he smashed a big six to Milind Kumar on the final delivery of the fifth over of the Powerplay. By reaching the elusive milestone, he has now joined the likes of elite Pakistan batters, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, and others with a similar feat in the T20I format.
In today’s T20 World Cup clash between Pakistan vs USA, Sahibzada Farhan played a pivotal role for the green shirts in the first innings. He dominated the USA bowlers from the start of the innings, showcasing his firepower in T20I cricket. As a result, he scored 73 off just 41 balls with the help of 6 fours and 5 sixes. His commanding knock helped Pakistan to post a big total of 190 on the board, which eventually proved to be the match-winning score for the green shirts.
