Pakistan’s chase began aggressively with Omaima Sohail’s quick 43, but the innings truly came alive when Sidra Amin (122 off 110) anchored the middle overs. Her century, supported by Natalia Pervaiz’s fluent 73, gave Pakistan hope of pulling off a famous win. However, regular wickets in the last 10 overs shifted the momentum back to the visitors.
The South African bowlers, led by de Klerk (3/45) and Tryon (2/55), and Kapp (2/37), managed their lines effectively and ensured that Pakistan were bowled out for 287 in 44.4 overs.
This outcome gave South Africa Women 25 runs to win (DLS method), which was inspired by the record-breaking 171 by Tazmin Brits in the first innings, prepared with strict bowling in the last moments. Her historic knock earned her the Player of the Match award.
