Robert Lewandowski Poised to Exit Barcelona at the End of Summer

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that he will leave the club this summer once his contract ends. He recently posted a message on social media, saying he is ready to leave the club with key goals achieved.

The highly experienced Polish striker has found the net 119 times in 191 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions since his move from Bayern Munich in 2022.

During his time at the club, Lewandowski played a key role in Barcelona winning three La Liga titles, including the one this season, as well as the Copa del Rey in 2025.

“After four years full of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on. I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. Four seasons, three championships.” said Robert Lewandowski on social media.

“I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days. Catalonia is my place on earth. Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years.” added Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski then thanked the FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta for giving him a chance in the team, saying he had enjoyed every single moment of his time playing for the club.

“A special thank you to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career.” said Robert Lewandowski.

“Barça is back where it belongs.” concluded Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick also confirmed that Lewandowski will leave the club this summer. He applauded the hard work of the Polish striker, saying he is a high-quality professional with whom he has worked for years.

“He spoke with the team, said goodbye, and that it was a great time for him here in Barcelona. I’ve worked with Robert now for years, and we won together nine (trophies), all the titles I’ve won were with him.” said Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.

“For me, it’s a privilege to work with him. He’s a professional player, every day he gave the best with his body to be at the highest level. He’s a perfect role model for young players, this is why he’s still playing at this level.” added Hansi Flick.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s official social media account also shared a message for Robert Lewandowski, thanking him for the many memorable wins and moments he gave the club.

“Thank you, Robert Lewandowski, for every goal, every (bit of) fight, and every magical moment wearing these colors,” said Barcelona on social media.
