Rawalpindi has signed the rising Australian hard-hitting batter, Jake Fraser-McGurk, for the upcoming PSL 2026 season. The franchise announced the direct signing of Fraser-McGurk through a social media post on Thursday, after he went unsold at the previous day auction in Lahore.
“From Down Under straight to streets of Rawalpindi. We’ve signed the most destructive young talent in the world as our Direct Signing,” said the caption of the announcement post.
“Jake Fraser-McGurk is officially a Pindi Boy,” added the post.
During the last few years, Jake Fraser-McGurk has become a top name in the global T20 franchise circuit. He has established himself as an explosive opener who likes to take on the bowlers early in the innings. He has so far played 98 T20 matches and accumulated 1852 runs at a massive strike rate of 149.11.
Fraser-McGurk entered the PSL 2026 auction with the highest base price of Rs 42 million. Interestingly, he couldn’t find any buyer and went unsold at the auction. The new Rawalpindi franchise took advantage of this opportunity and picked him as their direct signing for the PSL 2026 season.
With the addition of Jake Fraser-McGurk, the Rawalpindi team now looks well settled with a quality lineup of batters. It would be interesting to see how they will perform in the upcoming edition of the league that is scheduled to start from March 23.
