Tanzid Hasan’s Fireworks Guide Rajshahi Warriors to Dominant Win Over Dhaka Capitals

Tanzid Hasan’s Fireworks Guide Rajshahi Warriors to Dominant Win Over Dhaka Capitals

Rajshahi Warriors came up with a commanding performance against Dhaka Capitals in the latest BPL clash. Their star opener, Tanzid Hasan, batted confidently in the chase to take down the Capitals bowling attack. His innings of 76 runs allowed Rajshahi Warriors to complete the chase in just 16.1 overs. By winning the match, they have now firmly secured top position on the BPL 2026 points table.

Dhaka Capitals would be disappointed with their bowling effort, as no pace or spinner managed to put consistent pressure on Warriors in the second innings. Due to that, they remained on the back foot while defending a modest target of 132 runs in the second innings.

Batting first, Dhaka Capitals started the innings positively as Usman Khan took down the Warriors bowling attack in the Powerplay. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find much support from the other end, as batters in the middle order kept giving away their wickets. The captain of Capitals, Mohammad Mithun, again disappointed in this match, as he failed to score big runs in the first innings.

After playing a good knock of 41 runs up the order, Usman Khan was dismissed by Abdul Gaffar Saqlain. His dismissal brought a big impact on the Capitals batting lineup, as the incoming batters failed to provide any momentum. Due to this, Rajshahi Warriors took the grip of the match and exerted more pressure on the lower order of Capitals.

As a result, no batter made any solid contribution to the scoreboard, and Dhaka Capitals managed to score just 131 at the end of the first innings.

From the bowling perspective, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain remained the star bowler for Rajhshahi Warriors, as he picked 4 wickets in four overs while conceding just 24 runs.

A Masterful Run Chase by Tanzid Hasan

When Rajhshahi Warriors came out to chase the target, they showcased complete dominance against the Capitals bowling attack. The opening duo of Muhammad Waseem and Tanzid Hasan played aggressively to put pressure on Capitals bowlers in the Powerplay. Even after the dismissal of Waseem who scored quick 22 runs, Tanzid Hasan kept playing his shots to give Warriors an edge in the match.

Due to Tanzid’s masterful batting, Rajhshahi Warriors dominated the second innings, and eventually sealed the chase in just 16.1 overs. By playing an exceptional knock of 76 off just 43 balls, Tanzid Hasan was named Player of the Match at the end of the contest. He is now confident to take the same form in the next game against Sylhet Titans, as that can again prove a decisive factor for Warriors to win the match.
