Jaiswal Leads Rajasthan Royals to Victory Over Mumbai Indians in Rain-Affected Match

Jaiswal Leads Rajasthan Royals to Victory Over Mumbai Indians in Rain-Affected Match

Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians in the recent IPL clash, as Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the show with a breathtaking performance in the first innings. His knock of 77 runs helped the Royals to post a big total, which proved too big to chase for MI in the second innings.

The recent clash between Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians was disrupted by rain, which is why it was curtailed to 11 overs per side. Fortunately, no disruption was seen once the match started, as the Royals looked dominant from the start of the play.

Batting first, Rajasthan Royals got off to a flyer, as both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi started aggressively in the Powerplay. They took down the MI bowling attack fiercely, knowing the need to score big in the first few overs.

The innings of Yashasvi Jaiswal was especially impressive, as he smashed boundaries at a quick pace to take the score forward. Even after the dismissal of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, he kept on playing his shots to maintain the pressure on the Mumbai Indian bowlers. This strategy worked well for the Royals, as MI failed to contain the run-rate during the middle overs and didn’t get the opportunity to make a comeback.

As a result, Rajasthan Royals managed to score 150 in just 11 overs, with Jaiswal remaining not out after scoring 77 off just 32 balls.

When Mumbai Indian came out to bat, they struggled badly in the chase. The top order of Mumbai Indians fell cheaply, as no batter managed to score big in the first few overs. Tilak Varma then played a few shots to launch a counterattack, but he was also dismissed quickly by Ravi Bishnoi for just 14 runs.

These early wickets brought huge pressure on the Mumbai Indians, as they failed to match the momentum in the second innings. The captain Hardik Pandya also couldn’t do much, as he went back to the dugout after scoring 9 runs.

The lower middle order then showcased some resistance, but the rising run-rate also became the reason for their dismissals. As a result, Mumbai Indians managed to score just 123 in the second innings, giving Rajasthan Royals a big 27-run victory in the match. Yashasvi Jaiswal was named Player of the Match, as his blazing knock became the difference between the two teams at Guwahati.
