Quetta vs Hyderabad Live: Gladiators' Spin Kings Strangle Kingsmen Chase After 10 Overs

Quetta vs Hyderabad Live: Gladiators' Spin Kings Strangle Kingsmen Chase After 10 Overs

After a stuttering start, the Hyderabad Kingsmen reached 61/5 at the end of 10 overs, still facing a steep climb to reach Quetta's target of 175. The Gladiators’ bowling attack, led by the precision of Alzarri Joseph and the guile of Abrar Ahmed, has effectively neutralised the Kingsmen’s Powerplay intent.

The third wicket was the most significant blow of the middle phase. Abrar Ahmed struck again, this time dismissing the well-set Usman Khan (14), who was caught behind while attempting to guide a flatter delivery through third man. After that, Usman Tariq struck Saad Ali (7).

This breakthrough left the Kingsmen in a delicate position, with captain Marnus Labuschagne in a bid to rebuild the innings. However, the introduction of Saud Shakeel made it more difficult for Hyderabad Kingsmen, as he got the crucial wicket of Labuschagne (23).

Quetta’s disciplined line and length have kept the required run rate hovering over 11 runs per over. While the Kingsmen have managed to keep wickets in hand compared to earlier projections, the mounting pressure from Quetta's spin duo, including Usman Tariq, is making every boundary a struggle.

The next four overs will be critical; Hyderabad must find a way to accelerate without losing further wickets if they are to keep this chase alive.
