Quetta Gladiators Confirm Player Retentions Ahead of PSL 11 Auction

The official retention list of Quetta Gladiators in PSL 11 was announced on social media. The franchise has retained Abrar Ahmed in the Platinum category, Usman Tariq in Diamond, Hassan Nawaz in Gold, and Shamyl Hussain in the Emerging category.

“Retained. Reloaded. Ready,” the Gladiators’ social handle captioned an animated post, emphasizing their preparedness for the next season.

In the Platinum category, the Gladiators had previously named Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Amir, and Abrar Ahmed. The Diamond category initially featured Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Usman Tariq. Meanwhile, the Gold category earlier had Khurram Shahzad, Haseebullah Khan, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Hassan Nawaz, and Danish Aziz. 

It is worth noting that PSL 11 retention rules allow franchises to retain up to four players, one per category. This season, the Pakistan Cricket Board has abolished additional clauses such as mentors, brand ambassadors, and the Right to Match (RTM), simplifying squad-building ahead of the auction. Previously, teams could retain up to eight players and include additional provisions.

The PSL 11 auction is scheduled for February 11, 2026, ahead of the league’s start on March 26. The upcoming season will also mark Faisalabad’s debut as a host city, joining Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, expanding the tournament to five cities.
