LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to host its second large-scale international roadshow in New York after the star-studded show at Lord's in London, sources have informed on Thursday.
Sources predict that the New York event is likely to be held by the end of next week. National cricketer Saud Shakeel, along with Test and T20I captains Shan Masood and Salman Ali Agha, is expected to attend.
The New York event will follow closely after the exclusive roadshow that PSL will be holding at The Home of Cricket on December 7 where business leaders, potential franchise investors, and the global cricket fans will be invited.
This move highlights PSL's efforts to enhance its global existence and position the league as a global cricket entertainment brand.
The London roadshow showcased the most iconic players in Pakistan, such as Babar Azam, Wasim Akram, with a special performance by Ali Zafar.
As shared by PSL on social media:
"London Roadshow brings cricket's biggest names to the Home of Cricket. Join us for an exclusive evening with Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Sahibzada Farhan, Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja & Ali Zafar."
PSL has continued to grow since its introduction in 2016, with five franchises. It first expanded in 2018 with the inclusion of the Multan Sultans.
The league is undergoing its first major restructuring in seven years, expanding to an eight-team competition, which is a major milestone in the growth and competitive nature of the league.
