The stage is set at the National Bank Stadium as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) prepares to pull back the curtain on the HBL PSL 2026 trophy later today. This year's ceremony carries extra weight, marking the league's first major expansion to an eight-team format.
While fans are speculating about the design, the PCB has dubbed this the "New Era" trophy. Unlike previous years where professional studios handled the design, this year’s trophy is part of a "Design Competition" where fans and local artists were invited to submit concepts, potentially making it the most community-driven prize in the league's history.
Location: National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
Chief Guest: PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected to lead the unveiling.
Attendees: Captains from all eight franchises, including the debutant Hyderabad Kingsmen, are scheduled to be present.
The unveiling serves as the final countdown to the tournament opener on 26 March 2026, where the defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face the Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium.
Following today’s reveal, the trophy is expected to embark on a nationwide tour across six host cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Peshawar.
