Possible Rain Issue for PSL Games in Rawalpindi Tomorrow

Possible Rain Issue for PSL Games in Rawalpindi Tomorrow

There could be a problem with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) games in Rawalpindi tomorrow because of rain. Two matches, Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators are set to happen at Pindi Cricket Stadium on March 2.

The Weather Channel says there's a 100% chance of rain in Rawalpindi during the day and 70% at night, and it might rain heavily. A person from the Met Office also said there's a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, starting Friday evening. Saturday could be the day with the most rain during this time.

Pindi Stadium usually gets a big crowd for international matches and PSL games, making the atmosphere lively. The venue has added around ten thousand temporary chairs for the nine matches it will host in the next ten days.

Notably, some of the highest scores in PSL history happened at Pindi Stadium, like Multan Sultans' 262 against Quetta Gladiators and Quetta's 253 against Multan in the same match.

Despite the high-scoring history, the PCB decided to change the reputation of "flat pitches" this year. They instructed curators to make pitches that support both bowlers and batters, aiming for a more balanced game.
