Peshawar Zalmi Sign Shahnawaz Dahani Following PSL 11 Auction

Peshawar Zalmi have roped in Shahnawaz Dahani for the upcoming PSL 2026 season. The franchise confirmed the signing after Dahani went unsold in the recent auction at Lahore. He is a young right-arm pacer who has represented Pakistan at the international level in two ODIs and 11 T20Is.

The franchise made the announcement of signing Dahani through a social media post, featuring an animated poster of the star sitting in the stands of the newly built Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.

"Fresh pace, right-arm variety, and plenty of promise. [Shahnawaz Dahani] is set to electrify the [Yellow Storm] with his signature celebration. Welcome to your new home," said the caption of the announcement post.

Interestingly, Peshawar Zalmi did not reveal the price tag at which Shahnawaz Dahani has been signed for the PSL 2026 season. He had a base price of Rs 11 million at the recent auction, however, no franchise showed interest in him.

Before the auction, Peshawar Zalmi retained Babar Azam, Sufiyan Muqeem, Abdul Samad and Ali Raza in Platinum, Silver, Gold and Emerging categories. The franchise then went big at the auction by signing ten high-profile players including James Vince, Michael Bracewell, Kusal Mendis and more others.

Despite securing these big stars, Peshawar Zalmi still have plenty of budget left in the purse. This is the reason why they roped in Shahnawaz Dahani, as he will strengthen the pace attack of the team in the upcoming PSL 2026 season.
