The 3rd match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025 between Peshawar vs Sialkot was marred by inappropriate weather. The first two days of the match were called off due to rain and wet outfield conditions. Peshawar Region showcased a dominant batting performance in the 1st innings. Though their openers got out cheaply, the middle order stepped up with superb fifties, giving Peshawar a strong base to score. The star of their batting innings was none other than Mohammad Rizwan, who was also captaining the side. Alongside him, Mohammad Haris also produced a superb hundred on just 113 balls, smashing 11 fours and 4 sixes. Due to these batting performances, Peshawar declared their innings after scoring 376 runs for 5 wickets.
When Sialkot Region came out to bat, they displayed aggressive gameplay against the inexperienced attack of Peshawar Region. Their in-form young opener, Azan Awais, showcased his class with the bat. He scored a quick fifty on 78 balls by smashing 5 boundaries in total. Besides him, Mohsin Riaz also played a remarkable knock of 67 runs at a strike rate of 119. On the back of these strong performances, Sialkot managed to score 156 runs at the end of day four. This concluded the match between Peshawar vs Sialkot, as both teams shared points on the table.

The first two days of the game were marred by rain, so getting a result on the final day always seemed a distant possibility. However, both teams tried to play positively, and we saw glimpses of brilliance in their first batting innings. Overall, it was a good match that could have been even more interesting if rain hadn’t interrupted play during the first two days.
