The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is launching a comprehensive 27-day Skills & Fitness Camp for the national women's cricket team. Which is projected to commence on February 2 at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High Performance Centre in Multan. This aims to prepare the team for the upcoming major events in 2025, one of which being the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2025.

For the camp, a total of 31 participants, including all 16 women with central contracts, were invited to participate in this significant national training program. The women’s national selection committee is in charge of the camp, for which former test cricketer Mohammad Wasim, who took over as head coach in July 2024, will supervise.

Throughout February, the participants will partake in a series of fitness and skill training, as well as 7 simulated 50-over internal matches designed to evaluate their preparedness to simulate real match conditions. In addition to these, several nets will be held to evaluate players for a core team that will be participating in later ICC Qualifiers.

The camp roster breaks down as follows (by role):

Fitness standards: Tailored programs including medical screenings and conditioning drills to raise stamina and reduce injury risks.

Match-readiness: The seven 50‑over practice games will test player applications of skills under real-match pressure—crucial ahead of the Qualifiers.

Holistic development: With Mohammad Wasim at the helm, the camp reinforces a high-performance culture for Pakistan Women, leading into 2026.

Top teams from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas will come in for the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2025, with only two slots for the final eight-team World Cup.

Teams with outstanding performance in this camp are expected to secure spots in both the Qualifiers and the main World Cup squad.
