Pakistan’s Junior Padel Team Announced

Pakistan has officially confirmed its first-ever junior padel squad to participate in the Junior World Cup, scheduled to run in Spain from 26 September to 5 October 2025 under the aegis of the International Padel Federation (FIP).

Squad Breakdown by Age Category:

• Under-14: Azhar Ahmed, Ansarullah Shakir, Muhammad Haris, Riyan Faizan
   
• Under-16: Usman Allahwala, Ashar Usman
   
• Under-18: Sameer Zaman, Meer Saqib, Ayaan Saeed, Muhammad Umer Qamar

The Training Camp is set to commence in Karachi on 8 September, with the team departing for Spain on 23 September.

Running from 26 to 28 September, Pakistan will contest in a group stage with teams from Asia and Africa—including UAE, Egypt, Senegal, Qatar, Japan, Iran, and Lebanon. The group winners will face off in a qualifying final for a spot in the main tournament.

This year’s FIP Junior World Cup will feature teams from 36 countries, highlighting the growing global footprint of the sport. The team was chosen based on merit—performance in the Junior National Padel Championship, player rankings, and talent shown in national-level competitions, as confirmed by PPF President Muhammad Mateen.
