Pakistan Won the Toss and Bowled First Against Australia in 2nd ODI
Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and elected to bowl first against Australia in the Pakistan vs Australia 2nd ODI of the three-match series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
The decision comes after Pakistan's convincing five-wicket win in the 1st ODI, where the hosts successfully chased down the target to take a 1-0 lead in the series. As Pakistan won toss and chose to field first, the Men in Green will be aiming to capitalize on the conditions and secure an unassailable lead in the series.
Shaheen backed his pace attack to make early use of the conditions, and the move paid off almost immediately. Australia suffered an early blow when Alex Carey was dismissed for a duck in the opening over, handing Pakistan the perfect start with the new ball.
Australia will now rely on their middle order to rebuild and post a competitive total, while Pakistan's bowlers look to maintain pressure and keep the visitors on the back foot.
With the series at stake, Pakistan looked to secure another victory and seal the series, while Australia fought to keep their hopes alive and force a decider.
