Pakistan Women Post 223/4 in First Innings Against Zimbabwe Women in 3rd T20I

Pakistan Women Post 223/4 in First Innings Against Zimbabwe Women in 3rd T20I

Pakistan Women produced a commanding batting performance in the first innings of the series-deciding 3rd T20I against Zimbabwe Women at the National Stadium, Karachi, posting 223/4 in 20 overs.

Explosive contributions from Saira Jabeen (50 off 32 balls) and Fatima Sana (62 off 19 balls) powered the innings, while Ayesha Zafar (45) and Iram Javed (29) provided solid support.

Pakistan started aggressively, reaching 50 runs in just 5.1 overs during the powerplay. The opening partnership between Muneeba Ali (22) and Ayesha Zafar (45) laid a strong foundation before Ali was dismissed lbw by Lindokuhle Mabhero at 6.1 overs.

Ayesha Zafar fell soon after at 9.3 overs, also lbw to Mabhero, leaving Pakistan at 92/2. Saira Jabeen and Iram Javed rebuilt the innings, adding 60 runs in six overs, taking Pakistan past 150/4 by 15.5 overs.

The final overs were dominated by Fatima Sana’s power-hitting, combining with Jabeen to add 73 runs in four overs and taking the total to 223/4, the highest of the series so far. Extras contributed 14 runs throughout the innings.

This dominant performance set the tone for the Zimbabwe Women tour of Pakistan 2026 and highlighted the intensity of the T20 international series between Pak W vs Zim W.

Overs Breakdown:

  • Powerplay (0.1 – 6.0): 58 runs, 0 wickets
  • Overs 6.1 – 10.6: 100 runs, 2 wickets fallen
  • Overs 11 – 15.5: 150/4; Saira Jabeen and Iram Javed accelerated scoring
  • Overs 16 – 18.5: 200 runs; Fatima Sana and Jabeen dominated with big hits
  • Final Overs (19 – 20): Extras and boundary-filled overs pushed the total to 223/4

Bowling Highlights (Zimbabwe Women):

  • Lindokuhle Mabhero: 4 overs, 36 runs, 2 wickets
  • Beloved Biza: 4 overs, 35 runs, 1 wicket
  • Michelle Mavunga: 2 overs, 25 runs, 1 wicket
  • Nomvelo Sibanda: 3 overs, 49 runs, 0 wickets

Predictions:

Given Pakistan Women’s explosive batting display, Zimbabwe Women face an uphill battle to chase 224 runs in 20 overs. Only a strong start with early wickets and a sustained scoring rate can make the chase competitive.

Pakistan’s batting depth, aggressive middle-order, and all-round bowling options suggest they are the favorites to win the match and complete a 3‑0 series sweep.

If Zimbabwe Women fail to contain the opening partnership or take timely wickets in the powerplay, Pakistan is likely to dominate the remainder of the innings.
