Pakistan Squad Trains Ahead of First ODI vs West Indies in Trinidad

Pakistan’s ODI squad began preparations with an optional training session at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, under the supervision of head coach Mike Hesson and his staff. The 15-member squad, which arrived on Tuesday from Florida, took part in a focused three-hour drill session featuring batting nets, bowling routines, and intensive fielding practice. 

Adobe footwork, throwing drills, and catching work featured prominently in the session ahead of the series opener on 8 August. The team is set to resume full training at 1:30 PM local time on Thursday.

Match Details: ODI Series Schedule

  • 1st ODI: 8 August – Brian Lara Cricket Academy
     
  • 2nd ODI: 10 August
     
  • 3rd ODI: 12 August

All three matches will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago.

Squad Composition

  • Captain & Leaders: Mohammad Rizwan (c), Salman Ali Agha (vc)
  • Batters: Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafique, Saim Ayub, Hussain Talat, Fakhar Zaman (now  ruled out due to hamstring injury)
  • Wicketkeeper: Mohammad Haris
  • All-Rounders: Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Nawaz
  • Bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Sufiyan Muqeem

Note: Fakhar Zaman was ruled out of the remaining West Indies tour with a hamstring strain and will undergo rehabilitation. Replacement discussions are underway.
