India has restricted Pakistan to 146 in the first innings of the Asia Cup 2025 Final. The green shirts have once again given a disappointing performance with the bat, as they lost quick wickets during the middle phase of the game. The Indian bowling attack, however, staged a remarkable comeback after being badly beaten in the first ten overs. Kuldeep Yadav remained the star for the Indian bowling, as he strangled the Pakistan middle order by picking 4 valuable wickets.

After winning the toss, India quickly decided to bowl first against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Final. They brought back their star bowler, Jasprit Bumrah for today’s game to strengthen the fast bowling ranks. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya didn’t feature in today’s match as he sat out in the dugout due to a niggle injury.

Pakistan started off well in today’s match, courtesy of some fine batting by Sahibzada Farhan. The opener smashed Indian bowlers all around the park, ensuring to keep Pakistan ahead in the game. He once again scored a sparkling 57 off just 38 balls, laced with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

However, once Farhan got out, the Pakistan batting lineup showcased a similar pattern of struggle against the Indian spin attack. They failed to recognize the need of the situation, and kept on giving wickets cheaply. This allowed the Indian team to stage a remarkable comeback in the game. Due to this, they pushed back the scoring rate, and took regular wickets to increase pressure on the batters.

In the end, Pakistan got out after making just 146 runs in the first innings. This is now looking like a very low score considering the momentum that Pakistan had earlier in the innings. Now, the onus will be on the Pakistan bowlers to do something magical in the second innings. They need to pick quick wickets in the Powerplay to push India back, otherwise, the men in blue will run away with the game quickly.
