Pakistan’s national side started intensive training at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium today, gearing up for the opening match of their three-match T20I series against the West Indies, which begins on 31 July in Lauderhill, USA.

Under the supervision of coach Mike Hesson and his support staff, the squad completed a three-hour high-intensity practice session, including fielding drills, net batting, and bowling-specific routines. Emphasis was placed on adapting to the hot, humid Florida conditions and fine-tuning power-hitting and execution skills ahead of the series.

Squad Movement & Leadership

The Pakistan squad arrived in two groups, via Dubai—captained by Salman Ali Agha for the T20Is. The first batch included marquee names like Abrar Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Khushdil Shah, while the second group brought in key players such as Mohammad Haris, Hasan Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, among others.

Shaheen Shah Afridi returned to the T20I squad after recuperating from injury—a major boost to Pakistan’s pace attack for the USA leg.

Tour Overview & Fixtures

  • T20I Series: 31 July, 2 August, 3 August – all at Lauderhill, Florida.

  • ODI Series: 8, 10, 12 August – at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago.

Importance of the Florida Base

This tour marks Pakistan’s return to the USA for a full international series. With packed stands expected, the match atmosphere presents both exposure and motivation for the squad.

The training day served more than just physical prep—it allowed players to acclimatise mentally and tactically, calibrating shot selection, running, and field communication under Florida’s unique conditions .
