In a high-stakes ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 Eng vs Pak clash at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Pakistan has won the toss and elected to bat first against England.

With the Pallekele surface expected to slow down and assist spinners as the game progresses, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha opted to set a target on a fresh pitch. 

England captain Harry Brook noted he would have preferred to bowl first, and is confident in his side's ability to chase under lights.
