India defeated New Zealand by six wickets in the NZ vs IND 3rd T20I at the Hnry Stadium, chasing down 199 runs in just 13.2 overs. Abhishek Sharma led the charge with a stunning 113 off 38 balls, helping the visitors take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

New Zealand had earlier posted 198/3 after batting first, with Daryl Mitchell scoring an unbeaten 89 off 52 deliveries and Finn Allen contributing 40 off 25 balls. The opening pair put New Zealand under immediate pressure, racing beyond 70 runs in the first three overs before taking India to a record 118 runs in the Powerplay, the highest total in the first six overs of a men’s T20 International.

Sooryavanshi smashed 45 off just 19 deliveries before departing, but India’s scoring rate barely slowed. Abhishek continued to dominate the Kiwi attack, reaching his hundred in only 35 balls. His final score of 113 included 11 sixes and nine fours, making it one of the most destructive innings of his T20 career.

The Indian opener also became the first Indian batter to reach 11 centuries in T20 cricket, moving past Virat Kohli’s previous record. Kyle Jamieson dismissed Abhishek and Sanju Samson late in the innings, but New Zealand had little chance of mounting a comeback. Naman Dhir struck the winning boundary as India completed the chase with 40 balls remaining.

The result gives India a commanding 3-0 advantage in the series, leaving New Zealand with two matches to recover some ground.
