The NZ vs IND 2nd T20I highlights feature Mitchell Santner’s four-wicket spell, Glenn Phillips’ explosive half-century and Tilak Varma’s match-winning knock. Santner claimed 4/21 to leave India struggling at 70/5 during the chase. However, Dhir’s attacking contribution and an unbroken 69-run partnership between Tilak and Reddy turned the contest around, allowing India to reach the target in the final over.

Earlier, New Zealand recovered from a difficult start after losing three wickets for 41 runs. Glenn Phillips struck 70 off 43 balls, while debutant Bevon Jacobs contributed 58 off 46 deliveries. Their 111-run partnership helped the hosts post 180/5 in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh was India’s leading wicket-taker with figures of 2/33, but Phillips and Jacobs gave New Zealand a strong platform before the innings ended.

India’s chase appeared to be slipping away as Santner dismantled the top order with his left-arm spin. Tilak held his nerve under pressure, reaching an unbeaten half-century and maintaining the scoring rate. Dhir’s 31 off 17 balls provided valuable momentum, while Reddy’s unbeaten 26 off 13 balls helped India complete the chase at 181/6 in 19.5 overs.

The result gives India a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series following their victory in 1st T20I. New Zealand will look to recover when the teams meet in Wellington for the third T20I on October 27, while India will aim to extend their advantage and move closer to sealing the series.
