PSL 11: Mohammad Rizwan Blames Poor Fielding for Loss Against Karachi Kings

PSL 11: Mohammad Rizwan Blames Poor Fielding for Loss Against Karachi Kings

The captain of RawalPindiz, Mohammad Rizwan, lamented the team’s poor bowling and fielding in their recent loss against Karachi Kings. He said that despite putting up a big total, the team failed to defend the target due to too many mistakes in the field.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Mohammad Rizwan admitted that the fielding performance of RawalPindiz was below par, which is why they failed to contain Karachi Kings in the second innings.

"I think our bowling needs to remain at a high level. If you look at the last match, our execution wasn't great, but it was much better today. However, if you keep dropping catches, getting results will always be difficult." said RawalPindiz captain, Mohammad Rizwan.

Apart from the negatives, Mohammad Rizwan also shed light on the positives of the game. He said the batting lineup of RawalPindiz is strong, so the team is confident that they can make a strong comeback in the upcoming matches.

"Alhamdulillah, our batting lineup is very strong. We have skilled overseas players, and at the top of the order, Yasir Khan has been batting well; if he gets going, he can really dominate a game," said RawalPindiz captain, Mohammad Rizwan.

"In the two matches we've played so far, the batting unit has performed exceptionally and is looking in great shape," added Mohammad Rizwan.

Speaking about the recent Karachi Kings vs RawalPindiz clash, the tournament debutants were put into bat first in which they scored 197 at the end of the first innings. Daryl Mitchell and Sam Billings were the star performers, as their superlative partnership in the middle helped RawalPindiz to reach a formidable total.

In reply, Karachi Kings easily chased the target of 198, losing five wickets with four balls remaining. Captain David Warner and wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan both scored half-centuries, with Azam getting extra help after being dropped twice by RawalPindiz fielders Rishad Hossain and Mohammad Amir.
