Moeen Ali, the former England all-rounder, looks ready to join the next season of the Pakistan Super League. He announced it on Monday.

At 38, he sounded pretty excited about getting involved. He even pointed out how the PSL really stands out as a spot for top-notch cricket.

“I’m really excited to be joining HBL PSL in its New Era. The league has earned a reputation for top-level T20 cricket, with high-quality competition and world-class talent across every team,” he wrote on his Instagram handle.

Moeen also reflected on his past experiences in Pakistan, praising the fans for their unmatched passion and energy.

“Playing in Pakistan is always incredible; the quality of cricket is outstanding, and the passion and intensity from the crowd push you to bring your best.

I’m looking forward to being part of it all and creating some great memories along the way. Ready for another special experience, Insha’Allah!” Moeen Ali said.

With all his experience from international games and various franchise setups, this Birmingham native has shown up regularly in T20 leagues around the world.

Between 2019 and 2021, he suited up for nine games with the Multan Sultans. That was his first real go at the PSL.

On top of that, Moeen has kept busy in the Indian Premier League since 2018. He has played for three different teams during that time.

Now Moeen counts as the second big international name to sign on for the PSL. The first was Faf du Plessis, the ex-South Africa captain.

Faf shared his news just two days ago. He talked about starting fresh after wrapping up a 14-year run in the IPL.

“As one chapter closes, another one opens. I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining the PSL next season. I can’t wait to be part of the energy and talent of this league,” Faf du Plessis wrote in a post on X.
