Andrey Santos Joins Manchester United in £48m Transfer From Chelsea

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos from Chelsea in a deal worth £48 million, marking one of the club's biggest moves of the summer. The 22-year-old completed his medical earlier this week before putting pen to paper on a contract running until June 2031, with the club holding an option for another year. The club have already missed out on Elliot Anderson, who joined Manchester City, while Mateus Fernandes chose Tottenham Hotspur instead. Those setbacks have only increased the importance of securing Santos early in the window.

He also pointed to Michael Carrick as a major reason behind his decision, saying the former England midfielder is the perfect coach to help him develop further.
