Dilshan Madushanka solidified his name in cricket history by claiming a hat-trick in the final to steer Sri Lanka towards a dramatic seven-run win over Zimbabwe in Harare.
With Zimbabwe needing just 10 runs off the final over, Madushanka started off by dismissing Sikandar Raza, then Brad Evans, and finally Richard Ngarava. He secured a hat-trick and sealed the victory.
He is now among the few Srilankan bowlers to achieve a hat-trick in multiple matches. He is now in the same league as the legends Lasith Malinga (3 hat-tricks) and Chaminda Vaas.
If we look at it in a broader context, he's now one of the 46 bowlers to pull off a hat-trick. Notably, only a elite few have been able to achieve this feat more than once. These include Wasim Akram, Saqlain Mushtaq, Vaas, Malinga, Trent Boult, and Kuldeep Yadav.
