Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has just created a new record in international football by scoring back-to-back goals in the last FIFA World Cup encounter. He now has the most goal contributions in the history of international football, surpassing Portuguese great Cristiano Ronaldo.

As per the latest stats, Lionel Messi’s goal contribution tally has reached 181 in international football. He achieved this massive feat in the last World Cup clash against Algeria, where his hat trick grabbed all the attention.

Earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo held this record with 180 goal contributions, however, his recent poor form didn’t allowed him to take this tally forward.
