Lahore Qalandars Reveal Squad for Global Super League 2026
Lahore Qalandars have announced their squad for the Global Super League (GSL) 2026, which will be played from July 23 to August 1. The three-time Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions confirmed the details on Monday.
The tournament will feature five teams playing a total of 11 matches. Every game will be held at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
The announcement was made by Lahore Qalandars owner and Chief Executive Officer Atif Rana during a press conference.
The franchise has also named former Australia fast bowler Shaun Tait as head coach, while New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell will lead the side as captain.
Talking about the key players, the squad has some reputable names including Parvez Hossain Emon, Shayan Jahangir, Delano Potgieter and Abdullah Shafique. All of them have plenty of international cricket experience, so having them in the dressing room would be a big boost for the Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana is also excited to have Shaun Tait on board. He believes the former Australian fast bowler will bring an aggressive mindset to the team, which will help them to win the upcoming tournament.
Rana also said the squad has a good mix of experienced and young players. He believes the tournament will give emerging cricketers a chance to gain international exposure and improve their game.
Lahore Qalandars will start their campaign against Cricket Victoria on July 23. They will then face Central Stags on July 24, Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 26 and Rangpur Riders on July 29.
This will be Lahore Qalandars' second appearance in the Global Super League. They also played in the inaugural 2024 edition, where they finished fourth in the five-team tournament.
