Karachi Whites Cruise Past Sialkot to Seal National T20 Cup 2026 Final Spot

Karachi Whites Cruise Past Sialkot to Seal National T20 Cup 2026 Final Spot

Karachi Whites booked their place in the final of the National T20 Cup 2026 after a convincing five-wicket win over Sialkot in the first semi-final held in Peshawar on Tuesday. They will now face either Abbottabad or Lahore Whites in the summit clash scheduled for Wednesday at the same venue.

Sialkot Post Competitive Total

After being asked to bat first, Sialkot struggled to fully capitalize on their innings despite posting a total of 165/9 in 20 overs. Captain Usama Mir’s decision to bat did not yield the desired outcome as Karachi’s bowlers maintained tight control throughout.

Hasan Nawaz led the scoring for Sialkot with a steady 43 off 33 deliveries, hitting two sixes and two fours. Khawaja Arham also made a valuable contribution, scoring 40 from 33 balls with three sixes and two boundaries.

Ali Afzal added 26 runs, while Usama Mir chipped in with 19 and Mohsin Riaz scored 15. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to make a significant impact against a disciplined bowling unit.

Muhammad Umar was the standout performer with the ball, picking up three wickets for 29 runs in his four overs. Mohammad Asghar claimed two wickets, while Danish Aziz, Saqib Khan, and Mir Hamza took one each.

Karachi Whites Dominate the Chase

Chasing 166, Karachi Whites started aggressively with their opening pair setting the tone early. Abdullah Fazal and captain Saud Shakeel built a strong 92-run partnership, putting Sialkot under immediate pressure.

Saud Shakeel played a quickfire knock of 45 off 21 balls, striking five fours and three sixes before being dismissed. His departure triggered a brief collapse as Karachi lost a few wickets in quick succession.

Despite the setbacks, Abdullah Fazal continued his attacking approach and anchored the innings brilliantly. He top-scored with a stunning 88 off 41 balls, smashing seven sixes and six fours before falling in the 14th over.

With 20 runs still needed, Danish Aziz and Haroon Arshad showed composure and guided the team home with an unbeaten 21-run stand. Karachi Whites reached the target comfortably in the 16th over with five wickets in hand.

For Sialkot, Usama Mir was the most effective bowler, taking three wickets for 46 runs. Hamza Nazar and Sufiyan Muqeem managed one wicket each.

Final Showdown Awaits

With this dominant win in the Karachi Whites vs Sialkot 2026 clash, Karachi Whites head into the final with strong momentum and confidence, aiming to lift the National T20 Cup title.
