Karachi Whites Register Thumping Victory Over Faisalabad in National T20 Cup 2026

Karachi Whites started their campaign in the National T20 Cup 2026 on a strong note, as they defeated Faisalabad convincingly in the second match of the tournament. Abdullah Fazal was the star performer of the match, as his innings of 76 runs helped Karachi to seal the chase comfortably.

Batting first, Faisalabad Region didn’t have a great start as they lost their opener Atiq-ur-Rehman early in the Powerplay. His dismissal brought Awais Zafar to the crease who played sensibly with Muhammad Faizan to build a little partnership.

Faizan was looking good at the start, as his quick boundaries gave Faisalabad a strong impetus. However, he was removed by Saim Ayub after scoring 30 runs, giving Faisalabad another jolt early in the innings. Their middle order also failed miserably, as Asim Ali and Mubasir Khan lost their wickets in quick succession.

Meanwhile, Awais Zafar kept playing positively at one end to take the scoreboard forward. His partnership with Irfan Khan was crucial, as it allowed Faisalabad to find some stability during the middle overs. By playing a superb knock of 81 off 53 balls, he propelled Faisalabad to post 171 on the board at the end of the first innings.

The reply of Karachi Whites in the second innings was very strong, as both Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal played aggressively in the Powerplay. The batting performance of Abdullah was especially impressive, as he took the attack back to the Faisalabad team even after losing Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel in quick succession.

The partnership between Abdullah Fazal and Khawaja Nafay was impressive, as both batters played confidently during the middle overs to take the chase forward. Abdullah Fazal then struck brilliant 76 runs that allowed Karachi Whites to seal the chase in just 17.1 overs. With this powerful performance, they won the match by 8 wickets, making a strong statement in the very first game of the tournament.
