KARACHI – Karachi Kings find themselves reeling at 77/3 after 10 overs against the Hyderabad Kingsmen. After being put into bat, the home side struggled to find any rhythm against a disciplined Hyderabad attack led by the young sensation, Hunain Shah.
The Kingsmen's decision to bowl first paid immediate dividends. In the first over, Reeza Hendricks got out for 2 by Muhaamad Ali. Soon after, Hunain Shah produced a masterclass in Powerplay bowling, removing Shan Masood and Muhammad Waseem in a devastating opening spell. His figures of 2 for 6 in two overs left the Karachi top order in tatters, as he found both swing and extra bounce off a spicy National Stadium surface.
As the match crosses the halfway mark, the burden of recovery falls on Azam Khan and Saad Baig. With the run rate hovering just above seven per over, Karachi will need a significant acceleration in the back ten to set a competitive target for the PSL newcomers.
Hyderabad, meanwhile, remains firmly in the driver's seat as they hunt for their historic first victory.
