'Best Time to Crush' – Jatinder Singh Believes Oman Can Take Down Australia

Oman is confident that they can upset Australia in the upcoming T20 World Cup encounter. Their captain, Jatinder Singh, believes it is the best time to beat Australia as they are currently out of form and playing without their several star players.

While talking to the reporters, Jatinder Singh said that T20 is a game of momentum which can help any team to win the match. Considering that, he is confident that Oman can beat Australia to cause a major upset in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

"One hundred percent this is an opportunity. And our boys are looking forward to it. Because T20 is a game of momentum and the moments, and if you play those moments right, you can do anything on that particular day. Australia is not doing well at the moment… it is the best time to crush them.” said Jatinder Singh.

Talking about how Oman can become more competitive in international cricket, Jatinder said that his players should get opportunities to play franchise cricket, as it could help them raise their skills.

"Well if I have to sum up [how Oman can improve], it would be if we have the franchise cricket happening in the country or our guys get a chance to play franchise cricket elsewhere. I think we can fill that gap and they can bring vast amount of experience for our national team.” said Jatinder Singh.

Both Oman and Australia have been eliminated from the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. This makes the match between the two sides a dead-rubber, however, the latest claim by Jatinder that Oman can upset Australia has added some excitement to the contest.
