Ireland were rocked inside the powerplay. Shakeel Ahmad struck three times, removing both Tectors and Ross Adair, and at 45 for 3 the surface looked slightly two paced. When Campher fell at 64 for 4, Oman had real control.
Tucker steadied everything. He absorbed pressure, trusted his defence early, and then began to access the square boundaries once the ball softened. His control over length was impressive and he rarely mistimed.
George Delany’s 56 off 30 shifted the tempo. He targeted the shorter side, particularly against the change bowlers, and that partnership swung momentum back firmly towards Ireland.
The last four overs were ruthless. Dockrell’s 35 from just nine balls was pure impact. Clean strikes down the ground and over midwicket turned a strong total into a daunting one. From recovery to dominance, Ireland finished with complete authority at 235 for 5.
