IPL 2026: Complete League Stage Fixtures Confirmed

The IPL 2026 league stage schedule has been officially released by the BCCI, setting the stage for 70 high-voltage matches across India until May 24. While the initial partial calendar had been shared, Thursday’s update covers nearly all fixtures, leaving only the playoff venues to be announced.

Teams and Group Structure

Similar to previous editions, teams are divided into two groups based on the number of IPL titles won.

  • Group A: Chennai Super Kings (5), Kolkata Knight Riders (3), Rajasthan Royals (1), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (1), Punjab Kings
  • Group B: Mumbai Indians (5), Sunrisers Hyderabad (1), Gujarat Titans (1), Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants

This year, the matchups have been tweaked. Teams will play opponents in their group once and teams from the other group twice, ensuring high-profile clashes like CSK vs MI occur twice, April 23 in Mumbai and May 2 in Chennai.

Season Kickoff and Key Fixtures

The season begins on March 28 with defending champions RCB taking on SRH. The first phase features 20 matches, including a Sunday double-header on April 12. From April 13 to May 24, 50 matches are scheduled at 12 venues.

Notable highlights include:

  • Raipur’s return as RCB’s second home venue with matches against MI (May 10) and KKR (May 13) at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium.
  • Dharamsala, back on the calendar after last year’s DC vs PBKS match was halted, will host the same fixture on May 11.

Double-Headers and Playoffs

The IPL 2026 schedule introduces eight additional double-headers, adding to the three previously planned, offering fans more prime-time excitement. Playoff venues are yet to be confirmed, though the final is expected to take place on May 31.

This revamped schedule promises a thrilling season of IPL 2026 cricket, blending traditional rivalries with new encounters across emerging venues.
