Two days filled with intense bidding, nail-biting nervousness, and heightened emotions, that’s what IPL auction 2025 was all about.
The IPL 2025 auction showcased a highly competitive bidding war, with the franchises going all out to secure the best talent for their teams.
Because IPL is a local Indian league, it gives a lot of importance to the country’s local talent. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a fast bowler who hasn’t played for the Indian team since the last two years was the most expensive player sold on day 2, indicating the demand for experienced fast bowlers, that too, Indian.
Majority of the franchises picked up players based on their team’s needs rather than the popularity of the player.
Let’s take a look at the list of most expensive players sold during the IPL auction 2025.
