Ind vs Zim 3rd T20 Live Toss: India Elect to Bat First

HARARE: Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first against Zimbabwe in the third and final T20 International at the Harare Sports Club.

With the three-match series already in the bag at 2-0, the visitors entered the dead rubber aiming for a clinical clean sweep. Iyer cited a dry, batting-friendly surface and the opportunity to set a formidable target under clear blue skies as the primary reasons for his decision.

India made one change to their winning combination. Pacer Yash Thakur drafted into the playing XI to replace Prince Yadav, who was ruled out after sustaining a hamstring injury during the second match. The rest of the star-studded lineup remains intact, featuring the explosive opening duo of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma.

Conversely, Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza expressed that he would have preferred to bowl first anyway to exploit any early moisture in the pitch. The hosts, desperate to salvage pride after a heavy 90-run defeat in the previous fixture, field an unchanged side. 

Raza emphasized the need for his bowling attack to execute disciplined lines early on to restrict India's aggressive top order.
