India defeated Pakistan in a nail-biting ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 Final. The men in blue won the game in the last over, courtesy of some great batting by Tilak Varma in the second innings. By winning the trophy, India has now won 9 Asia Cup titles in total. This makes them first on the list with the most Asia Cup title wins.

Talking about Pakistan, they showcased a spirited effort in the defence of the first innings total. The green shirts played with high intensity, which made a small target of 147 quite difficult for India in the final. They took early wickets in the Powerplay that put pressure on India from the start of the game.

After winning the toss, India decided to bowl first against Pakistan. They made the decision keeping in view the dry nature of the pitch. However, when Pakistan came out to bat, they showcased a bit different firepower from the bat. The in-form opening batter Sahibzada Farhan once again made a strong mark in the final by playing aggressively against Indian bowlers.

Farhan took down the ace Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah quite furiously in the Powerplay. His flawless batting gave Pakistan a good total in the Powerplay, though Fakhar kept struggling at the other end. Sahibzada Farhan once again made a sparkling fifty in today’s match by smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes in total.

However, the fall of Farhan made things difficult for the Pakistan batting lineup. The middle order of the team once again showcased a similar struggle against spin bowling. Due to this, the pressure built up, and Pakistan started losing wickets regularly. It was a dramatic collapse for the men in green, as they lost 9 wickets for just 33 runs in the end. This halted the charge of the Pakistan team, restricting them to a small total of 146 at the end of the innings.

This looked like an easy chase for India, however, they were rocked back early by losing quick wickets in the Powerplay. To negate the pressure built by Pakistan early on, Tilak Varma came out to bat with a set plan. He started cautiously, ensuring not to give any more wickets during the middle overs.

Due to his batting wisdom, India stabilized the chase once again. Tilak played a remarkable knock of 69 runs by smashing 3 fours and 4 sixes. This splendid innings ultimately guided India to chase the target and win the Asia Cup 2025 final against a spirited Pakistan team. With this victory, the men in blue have now secured 9 Asia Cup titles, which is by far the most won by any team in the tournament's history.
