Powerplay Carnage: Bumrah and Arshdeep Leave South Africa Reeling in Ahmedabad

In a clinical display of Powerplay bowling at the Narendra Modi Stadium, India reduced South Africa to 41/3 after four overs of their 2026 T20 World Cup Super Eight encounter.

After South Africa elected to bat, Arshdeep Singh provided a disciplined start, conceding just four runs in the opening over. Jasprit Bumrah then turned the tide in the second, cleaning up the dangerous Quinton de Kock (6) with a delivery that rattled the leg stump. The pressure told in the third over when Arshdeep struck again, removing Proteas captain Aiden Markram (4), who holed out to Hardik Pandya.

In the fourth over, Bumrah got Ryan Rickelton (7). Now, after 6 overs, South Africa struggled to find the momentum with 41/3 on the scoreboard.
