Imam-ul-Haq Stars as Multan Beat Karachi Blues in National T20 Cup

Imam-ul-Haq National T20 Cup 2026 performance against Karachi Blues was exceptional. The encounter turned into a showcase of authority from Multan Region on Thursday night. Karachi Blues arrived hoping to build momentum. Instead, they ran into a side playing fearless cricket.

Multan chose to bat first and quickly grabbed control.

Opener Muhammad Naeem set the early tempo. He attacked the powerplay with clean timing, smashing 39 from 25 balls. Boundaries kept flying. The field spread, the pressure rose, and Karachi’s bowlers struggled to slow the flow.

At the other end stood Imam-ul-Haq, calm and calculating.

Once Naeem departed, the captain simply carried on. His 71 from 40 balls blended control with aggression. Nine crisp fours split the field, while two sixes sailed high over the ropes. You could feel the momentum shift with every over.

Bismillah Khan joined the act with a quick 34 from 23 balls, pushing Multan into a powerful position. Their partnership quietly stretched Karachi’s attack and drained their confidence.

Then came the late charge.

Waseem Akram walked in and launched an explosive cameo. Three boundaries and a towering six lifted Multan Region to 201 for six. In the Multan Region vs Karachi Blues clash, that total suddenly looked daunting.

Karachi’s Chase Never Truly Settled

Usman Khan tried to start a fightback with a quick 43 off 23 balls. His attacking shots gave the crowd some hope for a short while. But wickets kept falling at the other end, and the innings slowly fell apart.

Left-arm spinner Mohammad Ismaeel turned the game firmly in Multan’s favor. He grabbed three wickets in a strong spell that broke the middle order and ended Karachi’s chances of chasing the target. Arafat Minhas also took two wickets, while a few other bowlers picked up one each to keep the pressure on.

In the end, Karachi Blues were all out for 127 in 15.4 overs.

This result gives Multan Region an early boost in the National T20 Cup 2026, while Karachi Blues still need to find their form in the early stage of the tournament.
