India’s top-order run in the ICC T20I rankings has tightened further after a standout T20 World Cup 2026 campaign. Ishan Kishan jumped to No.2 in the T20I batting charts.
Kishan’s surge comes on the back of a prolific tournament in which the left-hander piled up 317 runs, including three half-centuries, establishing himself as one of the most consistent batters of the event. His performances have brought him within touching distance of fellow Indian batter Abhishek Sharma, who continues to occupy the top position in the ICC T20I rankings.
Abhishek maintained his lead after a spectacular tournament highlight, an 18-ball half-century in the final against New Zealand, which further cemented his place as the format’s most in-form opener. Kishan now trails him by just four rating points, turning the race for the No.1 position into one of the closest battles in recent T20I ranking history.
The latest update also features several career-best movements across the batting list. New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert climbed to sixth position after consistent middle-order contributions, while England’s Jacob Bethell made a significant jump to 16th.
Other notable movers include New Zealand’s aggressive opener Finn Allen, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube.
In the Men’s T20I bowling charts, Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan reclaimed the No.1 spot despite his side not advancing beyond the group stage. India’s Varun Chakravarthy, who finished as the joint-leading wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup 2026, slipped from the summit but remains among the elite performers in the format.
England’s Adil Rashid rose to fourth place following a 13-wicket campaign, while India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah climbed to sixth after finishing the tournament with 14 wickets. Axar Patel also moved upward, reaching 17th in the bowling standings.
Among T20I all-rounders, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza continues to lead the rankings, with India’s Hardik Pandya holding the second spot. New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner and England’s Will Jacks also improved their positions in T20 World Cup 2026.
