DUBAI: Indian cricket team continue to lead the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings following the latest annual update. India has maintained its position at the top with 275 rating points. The rankings, released by the International Cricket Council, reflect full weighting for matches played since May 2025, with older results carrying reduced value.
The England cricket team remains in second place on 262 points, narrowing the gap slightly, while the Australia cricket team is third with 258. The current standings underline India’s consistency in the format, following their recent success in global tournaments.
The top seven positions remain unchanged in the latest list. The New Zealand cricket team sits fourth with 247 points, followed by South Africa cricket team on 244. Pakistan cricket team are sixth with 240, while West Indies cricket team hold seventh place on 233.
Further down, Bangladesh cricket team have moved up to eighth after a marginal gain, while Sri Lanka cricket team slips to ninth following a drop in points. Afghanistan cricket team complete the top ten and remain within touching distance of Sri Lanka.
Among the lower-ranked sides, the United States cricket team recorded notable progress, climbing to 13th after a points increase. The Netherlands cricket team and Scotland cricket team both slipped down a place as a result.
Italy cricket team were among the biggest movers, rising several places after gaining significant rating points. Their improvement included a convincing win over Nepal cricket team. This marked a strong impact in recent fixtures.
The overall number of ranked teams has been reduced, with several sides dropping out after failing to meet the minimum match requirement over the evaluation period.
