SHARJAH – Zadran and Atal’s Scoring stimulation performance led Afghanistan to an admirable score of 188-4 in the 3rd match of the UAE T20 TRI-Series, while the commanding batting offense set the Sharjah stadium into an electric atmosphere.

Afghanistan walked into the tri-series with the support of their loyal fans, and for them, there was an early setback when, despite hopes of a strong start, Rahmanulla Gurbaz was dismissed for only 7 runs in the 3rd over. The change to Atal brought with it an immediate shift in momentum. Zadran had, with the loss of 0 wickets, managed to raise the run total to 84 with the help of Atal. The control brought heavier pressure against the UAE bowling side.

Atal scored 54 runs with a strike rate of 180, delivered 4 fours and 3 sixes, and was dismissed in the 13th over. The Afghanistan squad established a firm hold over the 100s with a bang.

Zadran had, along with the 4 sixes and 3 fours in his innings, 64 runs from 49 balls; his innings dominated the latter half of the inning. In tandem with Zadran, the scoring rate climbed, and Zadran was caught out in the 17th over.

Afghanistan, at that stage 160 for 4, needed a final flourish – and they got it. Azmatullah Omarzai and Karim Janat combined at the back end to accelerate the innings, guiding their side to a formidable 188-run total in 20 overs.

For the UAE, Muhammad Rohid and Saghir Khan were the most successful bowlers, taking two wickets each, though they struggled to contain the Afghan batting firepower.
