PSL Debutants Hyderabad Reveal Quartet of Signings Ahead of Auction

Hyderabad announced their high-profile signings on Friday, as they secured the services of Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, and Akif Javed for the upcoming PSL 2026 season. Saim Ayub became the most expensive player in the history of PSL after the new franchise bought him for a bumper PKR 126 million deal for the upcoming season.

Hyderabad announced the signing of the Pakistan quartet through a social media post, featuring the animated images of all four players.

“Big energy entering your feed. A warm welcome to Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, and Akif Javed to Team Hyderabad,” said the caption of the social media post.

Saim Ayub previously played for Peshawar Zalmi, however, he was not retained by the franchise this time due to limited retention options. As a result, the rising allrounder has now been secured by Hyderabad for the next PSL season.

Similarly, Usman Khan has also been signed for a huge PKR 46.2 million deal after he was recently released by Multan Sultans. Besides him, the franchise also signed Akif Javed and Maaz Sadaqat for PKR 19.6 and 35 million respectively.

Earlier today, Hyderabad also announced the signing of Australian star Marnus Labuschagne for the PSL 2026 season. He is a renowned international player who is expected to lead the batting lineup of Hyderabad in the upcoming edition of the league.

After signing these players, Hyderabad is looking forward to securing more quality stars in the upcoming auction. There would be plenty of players on their wish list in the upcoming event, so it would be interesting to see how big the franchise will go to secure them while remaining within their specified budget.
