Harsh Thaker’s 50 Powers Canada to 150 as Junaid Siddique Takes Five Wickets

Canada endured a shaky start in the Canada vs UAE encounter, losing three wickets inside the powerplay after managing 39 runs. Early dismissals of Yuvraj Samra and Dilpreet Bajwa put pressure on the middle order, while Nicholas Kirton’s departure left the side struggling at 38/3.

Navneet Dhaliwal attempted to stabilize the innings with a steady 34 off 28 balls before being run out at a crucial stage. The turning point came through Harsh Thaker, who anchored the innings with a composed 50 off 41 deliveries, including two fours and three sixes. 

His knock rebuilt the innings and carried Canada past the 100-run mark in the 14th over. Without Harsh Thaker’s contribution, Canada might have finished with a far lower total in this ICC T20 contest.

However, UAE’s bowling attack, led by Junaid Siddique, kept striking at key moments. Siddique produced a match-defining spell, taking five wickets and breaking partnerships whenever Canada looked set to accelerate. His efforts in the death overs prevented Canada from pushing beyond 150.
