Harry Kane Becomes Fastest Player to Reach 100 Bundesliga Goals

Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich moved to the top of the Bundesliga with a 7-0 victory over Union Berlin, but the England striker's personal milestone was the main talking point at the Allianz Arena.

Kane's second goal of the night came nine minutes into the second half, taking his league tally to 101. His earlier penalty had already made him the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals, with the landmark arriving in his 98th appearance.

The record had stood with Dieter Müller since 1977, when the former Cologne striker reached 100 goals in 129 matches. Kane therefore broke the previous benchmark by 31 appearances, reaching the figure during his fourth Bundesliga campaign.

Kane's latest achievement comes after three prolific seasons in Germany. He scored 36 Bundesliga goals in his first campaign, 26 in 2024-25 and 35 last season, finishing as the division's leading scorer each time and helping Bayern win the title in the last two seasons.

"Very proud, to be honest, to reach 100 goals in the Bundesliga," Kane said. "Obviously, I've done it in the Premier League, so now to have it in a different league is something I'm really proud of. All I can say is a big thanks to the team."

Michael Olise was also central to Bayern's emphatic performance, completing his first hat-trick for the club. Jamal Musiala and Ismael Saibari were also on the scoresheet as Bayern recorded their biggest league win since an 8-1 victory over Wolfsburg in January.

Kane's Record Continues to Grow

The Bundesliga milestone adds to a series of scoring records Kane has established since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. He reached 100 goals for the club in all competitions in his 104th appearance in September 2025 and has since continued to add to that total.

His latest double also leaves him among the leading contenders for the Ballon d'Or, with the 2026 award scheduled for 26 October. Kane's Bayern record now stands at more than 150 goals in fewer than 160 appearances across competitions.

For a player who already reached 100 Premier League goals during his Tottenham career, the new Bundesliga landmark gives Kane another major scoring record in a second of Europe's leading domestic competitions.
